TS SBTET Online Classes to the Students During Lockdown Period

TS SBTET Has Published a Notification For Online Classes to the Students During Lockdown Period, SBTET – Academic—COVID-19—Closure of Govt/ Pvt./ Aided Polytechnics in Telangana State—Continuation of Academic Activities by online means—Instructions – Compliance-Sought -Reg.

In view of the Covid-19 situation, the lock-down of the Educational Institutions and related orders issued by the Government of Telangana till 30.04.2020, it is decided to explore the possibility of conducting online classes for students and online faculty training programmes so that there is no dent on academic activity because of Covid-19 situation.

In this regard, the Principals of the Government / Private/ Aided Polytechnic Colleges, are informed that all the faculty members should continue the academic activity through various online and e-learning methodologies from 16.04.2020 without fail, to complete the remaining syllabus for the present AY 2019-20 so that there is no academic loss to the students.

Further, the Faculty shall conduct online lectures through any available open platforms like Zoom Conferencing, Skype, Google Classrooms, Microsoft Meetings etc., and provide study material to the students using Microsoft Kaizala / WhatsApp or by any other means as suggested by UGC in its communication, vide reference read for completing the syllabus by the end of April 2020.

For conducting the same all the teachers shall create Microsoft Kaizala / WhatsApp groups of the students of their classes and be in touch with them for completing the remaining academic activity including completion of syllabus, assignments, internal tests, etc. Further, the links of relevant teaching learning resources available in various digital platforms, such as SWAYAM Online Courses, MOOCs, TSAT Nipuna, Coursera for Campus Online Courses etc. shall be shared with the students by the respective teachers. The preliminary work for setting up the online work shall be done by 15.04.2020 without fail.
